Sun is looking for a Infrastructure Specialist for one of our customers based in South Africa

Purpose of the Job

To support, install, maintain, software products on various environments to ensure continuous service to clients.

Key Responsible Areas

 To plan and implement for infrastructure Preparation to ensure functional mainframe server

 To manage and administer operating systems, software and 3rd party software to ensure functional operating system

 To provide user support to clients to ensure customer satisfaction

 To provide input into the units monthly and quarterly reports regarding mainframe usage.

Minimum: 3 year Diploma / Degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology or equivalent/ NQF level 6.

Experience : 3 -5 years working experience in System Programming (Mainframe systems),

Technical Competencies

Knowledge of 2/05, Z/LINUX, CICS, DB2, MQ and WebSphere and other software tools i.e., BMC,CA etc. IT hardware and software. The incumbent is required to consult and interact with clients and work on standby. Knowledge of Cobol will be an added advantage.
